He goes over her head with some clients, but helps her by blackmailing her ex-husband`s lawyer/pastor to get her to abstain from her requests for money. He is not as effective in the courtroom and has been humiliated more than once by sober judges. He is also intimidated by Catherine Piper, Alan Shore`s caterer and former assistant, who actually drives him out of his own office. We will not see him again after the end of season 2. It is not clear if he is still with the company or if he was fired by the partners without any explanation. During the second season, he begins a relationship with a paralegal and initially shames the company for his misaligned sexual encounters. But if you watch her fly scene by scene, how she did it as memorably as Margaret Cheno-avec, the twisted shrink she played perfectly in Six Feet Under, you can see why the actors, let alone ordinary people, would be nervous in their company.

Cassidy, the two adult children of her marriage to Dr. Kennerd Kobrin, had a small role in Harrison Ford`s 1982 sci-fi film Blade Runner and won accolades a year later for his lead role alongside Nick Nolte and Gene Hackman in Under Fire. She worked with the hottest directors of the time, Ridley Scott, Bob Rafelson, Roger Spottiswoode, but the movie star was still out of reach. A co-starring role alongside Dabney Coleman on Buffalo Bill television, a failed 1983 sitcom, earned Cassidy an Emmy nomination, but lost to Jane Curtin for Kate & Allie. In the most recent and probably ultimate humiliation, she lost the role of Char-lie Sheen`s mother in Two and a Half Men to holland Taylor, who was highly overrated. The bitter irony of the whole did not escape the actress. I feel like Ive had to work a lot harder than I should have, » says the New Jersey native. I don`t understand.
I felt ignored [for an Emmy] when I played a murderous transvestite in Starsky and Hutch. It was one of the most remarkable achievements on television.
