The Animal Legal Defense Fund relies on its student chapters to promote its mission and current cases through projects and events on and off campus. Student chapters are eligible to receive free documentation from the Animal Legal Defense Fund that they can use during your chapter`s sessions and events. General documents for submitting student chapters include current editions of Animals Advocate, posters, stickers, pens, tattoos, and various animal legal defense fund brochures. We recommend that you request materials at least three weeks before your event. Applicants must advocate for the advancement of animal rights by actively participating in their student chapter during their law school and expecting expected participation in this area after graduation. Members of the student section can apply for a free graduation package that includes an Animal Legal Defense Fund pin, a graduation cable, and a free one-year application for membership in the Animal Legal Defense Fund. Each summer, fall and spring, several promising law students have the opportunity to be trained by top animal rights experts through the Animal Legal Defense Fund`s Day, Clerkship and Volunteer Program. Grants of $5,000 are being provided for new animal rights courses or, in an emergency, for courses that have been offered in the past but are at risk of being eliminated.
