Speak Out for Farmed Animals Week is an annual event dedicated to raising national public awareness of the lack of meaningful laws that protect farm animals from cruel treatment. Join the Animal Legal Defense Fund for a week of action for farm animals in October! The Animal Legal Defense Fund relies on its student chapters to promote its mission and current cases through projects and events on and off campus. Student chapters are eligible to receive free documentation from the Animal Legal Defense Fund that they can use during your chapter`s sessions and events. General documents for submitting student chapters include current editions of Animals Advocate, posters, stickers, pens, tattoos, and various animal legal defense fund brochures. We recommend that you request materials at least three weeks before your event. Applicants must advocate for the advancement of animal rights by actively participating in their student chapter during their law school and expecting expected participation in this area after graduation. Each summer, fall and spring, several promising law students have the opportunity to be trained by top animal rights experts through the Animal Legal Defense Fund`s Day, Clerkship and Volunteer Program.
